Global Investigators Network
The Network was created for the discussion, networking, referring and furtherance of investigative issues world wide. The primary purpose of the Network is for the referring of cases, networking, promoting and maintaining the highest ethical practices in the profession and to foster and perpetuate a spirit of cooperation among its members. In addition, it endeavors to further establish a mutual feeling of trust, goodwill, and friendship among investigators throughout the world. As business is quickly becoming more international than national in scope, so must our capabilities and contacts in order for us to prosper on a global basis. |

Council of International Investigators
The Council of International Investigators was formed to encourage a greater association among owners and operators of investigation agencies while developing mutual trust and respect. In addition, the Council exists to disseminate information relating to the proper and appropriate standards of practice and thus enhance the profession, create greater respect for the profession by operating ethically and with integrity on behalf of clients; provide an enhanced quality of service for all clients at competitive rates by offering continuing education; and support only the highest quality professionals in the investigative business. |

The World Association of Detectives
The World Association of Detectives was formed as a joint venture by the combined membership of the World Association of Detectives and the International Secret Service Association for the following purposes:
- To promote and maintain the highest ethical practices in the profession of private investigator or security service;
- To select for membership only those individuals whose personal and professional backgrounds and business affiliations have strictly observed the precepts of truth, accuracy and prudence;
- To endeavor to eliminate unreliable, incompetent and irresponsible members of the profession;
- To foster and perpetuate a spirit of cooperation among its members and with all those engaged in law enforcement; and
- To further and establish a mutual feeling of trust, goodwill and friendship among agencies throughout the world.

Council of Private Investigators of Ontario
The Council of Private Investigators-Ontario is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to serve the interests of licensed private investigators in the province. It was formed in 1994, taking over and modifying the charter of the Association of Investigators and Guard Agencies, which had been established in 1965. All directors and officers are volunteers, their primary career being as private investigators.
